Meetings
General meetings are held on the 1st Monday of the month, except when that day falls on a holiday, from 10 am to 1 pm.The general meeting is held at the East Columbia 50+ Center, 6610 Cradlerock Way, Columbia, MD 21045. Guests may attend up to 2 meetings without joining; after that, we encourage you to become a member of our chapter (see Membership information). Attendees at any of our meetings are welcome to bring their own projects to stitch if not participating in the monthly program. A separate stitch in room is open to the public, with members available there to offer advice or assistance.
We also have meetings on the 2nd Saturday of the month from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, also at the East Columbia 50+ Center, 6610 Cradlerock Way, Columbia, MD 21045. These meetings may have a program, but also include a stitch-in for those not participating in the program and for the public.
The Needlepoint Interest Group meets the 3rd Thursday of the month from 7 to 9 pm at the East Columbia 50+ Center, 6610 Cradlerock Way, Columbia, MD 21045. We welcome beginners to these techniques and have mentors ready to help. Our meetings are open to the public. Email Nancy Kenealey at npgroup@constellationega.org to be added to the group email list for upcoming program notifications.
Join the North Baltimore Interest Group from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on the 4th Saturday of the month January through October for stitching and conviviality; November and December meetings may vary. Bring your current embroidery project and a lunch. Email Donna Finley at nbaltogroup@constellationega.org for location information, which changes monthly.
Some programs may be offered online via Zoom. Whenever possible, these will be offered as hybrid meetings, with some members choosing to attend in person with a Zoom feed in the meeting room, while others may opt to attend from their home. Many of these offerings are lectures, although we have plans for some online workshops as well. See our calendar of events for listings that indicate whether the event is Zoom only, in-person only, or hybrid Zoom and in-person.
We request that you please refrain from wearing fragrances and bringing fresh flowers to chapter meetings and workshops. Some of our members have severe reactions to fragrances. We want to do everything possible so that our meetings and workshops offer a welcoming and enjoyable environment for all attendees. Thank You!
