The Embroiderers’ Guild of America:
Where Needle Art Lives
The mission of the Embroiderers’ Guild of America is to inspire passion for the needle arts through education and the celebration of its heritage.
EGA is deeply dedicated to the study, preservation, and promotion of needle arts. We are a national not-for-profit organization. Membership is open to anyone interested in needlework – from the beginner to the professional. Members work within local chapters, regions, and/or at-large networks to improve their skills and knowledge.
Membership in The Embroiderers’ Guild of America, Inc. and in the Constellation Chapter is open to all stitchers without regard to sex, color, religion, or national origin. The organization was founded to foster high standards of excellence in the practice of the art of embroidery, and to develop an active program of education and study to meet the needs of its members.
The Constellation Chapter is part of the Embroiderers' Guild of America, a 501(c)(3) organization. We meet September–June on the first Monday of the month at 10 am to 1 pm, except when that date is a holiday, in which case the meeting date is the second Monday. Our meeting location is the East Columbia 50+ Center, 6610 Cradlerock Way, Columbia, MD 21045. See Meetings for additional meeting times and locations for interest groups. All meetings at the East Columbia 50+ Center have a Stitch In room that is open to the public.
